President Tokayev noted the need to introduce order in archaeological activities.
As part of the initiative of the Institute of Parliamentarism, a meeting was held with a leading archaeologist to discuss the problems of preserving historical and cultural heritage.
"Our task is to form an effective system for the protection of our historical values. It is critically important to combat illegal archaeological excavations and ensure adequate conditions for the storage of finds," Amirov said.
The main focus was on identifying and analyzing the key problems faced by the archaeological community.
Follow-up activities are planned aimed at developing specific proposals and projects that will be submitted to the highest legislative bodies for consideration.
