In autumn we will continue to deal with this issue in the legislative field, it is necessary to strengthen preventive and informational work with the people of Kazakhstan, to improve the coordination of government agencies. Dear friends! Recently in one of my posts I reported about the Round Table on financial pyramids held jointly by Financial Supervision Agency of the RK and the Institute of Parliamentarism. The results of the recommendations are already beginning to have an impact! Today the Chairman of Majilis Koshanov E.J. said: "Financial pyramids today is a big problem, especially in the regions. Because people believe, famous vainers, artists, public opinion leaders advertise. People bring their last money and then we see the result. I think we will pass the bill in the near future. Just we establish criminal liability for the actions of vainers, artists, who advertise financial pyramids, knowing that it is a fraudulent scheme". Dear Friends! Today, on 21 April 2022, the Public Council of AFM RK and the Institute of Parliamentarism signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The necessity of this Memorandum is in the fact that for effective resolution of the set tasks, it is necessary to work with legislation, draft laws. We hope for fruitful co-operation with the Institute of Parliamentarism. The conclusion of the Memorandum was the result of today's Round Table on the topic: "Counteraction to financial pyramids and shadow economy". By the way, at the end of last year, in one of the posts - I drew attention to the need to remain vigilant in the disposal of their finances, in the danger of financial pyramids. Today's event was representative in nature - the deputies of Majilis of the Parliament, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of state and law enforcement agencies, lawyers' community took part. The Institute of Parliamentarism presented an analysis on the issues of counteracting the activities of financial pyramids. On the basis of this analysis, amendments to the legislation are being developed, including on the issue of responsibility for advertising of financial pyramids. Last week I paid a special visit to Mr Mansurkhan Makhambetov, head of the Institute of Parliamentarism, a new structure that is getting bigger and bigger every year. - I don't know," he said, "I don't want it to be so. As a result, we agreed that the Institute would be a member of the expert council, actively participate in the work to improve the current legislation, in the general lawmaking process.
