
As part of strengthening legislative explanatory work, the Institute of Parliamentarism, which has launched its own YouTube channel, has started discussing the most pressing and important issues of society with members of Parliament, experts and representatives of state bodies.
For the first time, deputy of the Mazhilis Abzal Kuspan and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Chairman of the UIS Abay Kairbekov were invited as guests of the channel, which aired today. They reported on what changes await the penitentiary system, what can be obtained from international experience and what steps need to be taken today.
Also on the air, issues of amnesty in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution, employment and re-socialization of convicts, improvement of the situation of women in colonies and the introduction of electronic bracelets as an alternative to isolation were discussed.
