On May 20, 2021, the Mazhilis of the Parliament together with the Institute of Parliamentarism held a round table to discuss proposals on improving enforcement proceedings.
The round table was attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament, representatives of the Supreme Court, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information, NGOs, the Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child, the Chamber of Legal Advisers and other interested individuals.
The project is aimed at strengthening and protecting the rights of citizens and organizations involved in enforcement proceedings, increasing the responsibility and regulation of the work of bailiffs, as well as improving the mechanism of alimony payments.
The draft provides for amendments to eliminate gaps, conflicts and contradictions in legislative acts on enforcement proceedings, as well as norms that contribute to corruption.
As representatives of the Nur Otan party noted, over the past year, more than a thousand complaints from citizens were received on issues of non-enforcement of court decisions, which once again confirms the need to improve enforcement proceedings.
During the discussion of the draft law, the round table participants shared their experience and practice of cooperation with bailiffs and proposed their visions for improving enforcement proceedings in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
After discussing the opinions of the participants, it was decided to accumulate all the proposals within the framework of the draft law being developed by the deputies.
