On September 10 of this year, the Institute of Parliamentarism held an online meeting of the working group on consideration of the draft law on traffic management with the participation of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan E. Smyshlyaeva and Y. Kuchinskaya, representatives of interested state bodies and non-governmental organizations.
In the course of the work, amendments were discussed providing for the introduction of amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Highways», aimed at expanding the list of objects transferred to the National Operator and expanding their competencies in this area, as well as introducing an open system of collection of tolls on the roads of the republican values from the moment of entering a toll road.
The second set of amendments is aimed at introducing amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On Road Traffic». This block addresses the issues of control over small electric vehicles and the movement of foreign vehicles on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The proposed amendments will ensure road safety on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
