Committee on Agrarian Affairs of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 6, 2023 on the basis of the Faculty of Veterinary and Livestock Technology of the Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin held a field meeting on veterinary and phytosanitary security.
As part of the event familiarized with the activities of the joint Kazakhstan-China laboratory on biological safety, created to study and diagnose contagious diseases of animals, as well as the research center for the development of applied research in the field of fisheries.
Following the results of the event, proposals for further improvement of strategic and program documents, as well as normative legal acts in the field of veterinary medicine, quarantine and plant protection were voiced.
The Institute of Parliamentarism within the Plan of interaction with the Majilis of the Parliament will take an active part in preparation of legislative initiatives on improvement of quality of work of veterinary and phytosanitary services together with interested state bodies and scientific experts.
