Deputy Director of the Institute of Parliamentarism at the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Suleimenov and Executive Director for Security Zhanar Tulindinova took part in an expert discussion organized by the Women's Wing of the AMANAT Party on topical issues of women's participation and influence on the political decision-making process.
In her welcoming speech, Secretary of the AMANAT Party Sholpan Karinova noted that the promotion of equal rights and opportunities for men and women is a priority of state policy, enshrined in the action plan in the field of human rights and the rule of law.
The participants of the expert discussion - party activists, well-known experts in the field of gender, public figures - analyzed the status and level of representation of women in legislative and executive authorities at the national and regional levels, presented the results of research on successful examples from various countries of the world where women significantly influence political decisions and their implementation.
The main obstacles and challenges faced by women in politics, including stereotypes, lack of support and other systemic problems, were also discussed during the event. The panelists presented recommendations and strategies to increase women's political participation and influence on the decision-making process.
Lazzat Suleyman, Deputy Director of the Institute of Parliamentarism, made an assessment of the political landscape and gender stereotypes in politics in her speech.
