On May 4, 2024, a working meeting was held at the Institute of Parliamentarism at the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the development of the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Agrarian Receipts”.
The event was attended by representatives of the Agricultural Insurance Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the faction of the “Respublica” party in Parliament.
The Institute of Parliamentarism was represented at the event by executive director Almas Kanatov and head of the Center for Agrarian Issues, Ecology and Environmental Legislation Marzhan Zhienbaeva.
During the meeting, current issues in the development of the country's agro-industrial complex were discussed. Namely, the introduction of agricultural receipts using modern IT tools, which will allow agricultural producers to expand sources of financing, not limited only to financial institutions.
It seems that the creation of a legislative basis for agricultural receipts will provide timely support for the development of the securities market for agricultural producers.
