A meeting with the participation of employees was held at the Institute of Parliamentarism at the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of Director Kanatbek Beisenbekovich Safinov. The meeting discussed key issues of the upcoming referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, which will be held on October 6.

The Director focused on the need to build a nuclear power plant as an important step to ensure the country's energy security. He noted that nuclear energy can significantly reduce dependence on traditional energy sources and contribute to the stable development of the economy. Safinov stressed that the modern nuclear power plant meets high standards of safety and environmental sustainability, which makes this project vital for the future of Kazakhstan.

Safinov added that support for the idea of holding referendums on strategically important issues of the country corresponds to international practice and demonstrates the openness of the authorities to dialogue with society.

In conclusion, Almas Kanatovich, Executive Director for Norm-setting at the Kanatov Institute, presented a report on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, which highlighted the main aspects and recommendations for further discussion.
