On January 22, 2025, a thematic meeting of the Committee on Agrarian Issues was held in the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, focusing on the topic “Enhancing the Agricultural Sector Financing System and Improving Access to Credit Resources for Farmers.”
The discussion involved Members of Parliament, representatives of maslikhats, government bodies, JSC “Agrarian Credit Corporation,” and the expert community. The Institute of Parliamentarism was represented by Marzhan Zhienbayeva, the Head of the Center for Agrarian Issues, Ecology, and Environmental Legislation.
The participants addressed issues related to the refinancing and recovery of the agricultural sector, highlighting the vital role of farmers in ensuring the nation’s food security. Based on the outcomes of the meeting, the proposals and recommendations presented will be consolidated and submitted to the Government for consideration.
