Experts and industry representatives discussed the legal regulations and economic aspects of venture financing at a round table organized at the Institute of Parliamentarism.

The participants addressed key issues related to the development of the market, including mechanisms for attracting long-term investments, tax incentives for venture investors, opportunities for international co-investment, and potential measures to enhance efficiency.

Experts noted that despite the rapid growth of the venture market in Kazakhstan, it still faces several challenges. Among the most significant issues is the lack of comprehensive legal mechanisms ensuring market stability and transparency.

The speakers emphasized the importance of modernizing legislation to create more favorable conditions for venture investors.

“We see enormous growth potential, but it is necessary to strengthen legal and financial instruments to stimulate long-term investments,” said Zholat Yerbolat (Qazaqstan Investment Corporation).

“Our task is to create a reliable and predictable legal environment that will allow investors to confidently invest in startups at all stages of development,” noted Nazgul Baitemirova (Astana Hub Ventures).

As a result of the round table, participants formulated a number of proposals for legislative reform. The prepared recommendations will be submitted to relevant government agencies for further consideration and possible integration into national legislation.
