






On April 18, 2025, the Institute of Parliamentarism hosted a solemn farewell ceremony for the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Law Kanatbek Beysenbekovich Safinov, who is retiring after many years of distinguished service.
The event was attended by prominent representatives of state bodies, including: Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhakip Kazhmanovich Asanov; Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Urustemovich Abildinov; Members of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Snezhanna Valeryevna Imasheva, Unzila Shapak, and Natalya Grigoryevna Dementieva; Head of the Department of Material and Technical Support under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Bakhtiyar; and Senior Researcher of the Institute of Legislation, Nikolai Nikolaevich Turetsky.
In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Z.K. Asanov highlighted Kanatbek Beysenbekovich Safinov’s significant contribution to the development of parliamentarism and the legislative process in Kazakhstan, emphasizing his high professionalism and dedication to his work. On behalf of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a letter of gratitude was presented to the honoree.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Urustemovich Abildinov, also expressed his gratitude to K.B. Safinov for his many years of fruitful work and presented him with a letter of appreciation from the Presidential Administration, emphasizing his professional excellence and his contribution to the development of the civil service.
Deputy Minister of Justice D.M. Vaisov, recalling the years of collaboration, described the honoree as “a brilliant jurist and a wise leader,” and noted the importance of cooperation with the Institute.
All speakers unanimously emphasized the multifaceted nature of K.B. Safinov’s personality — as an outstanding scholar and jurist, a talented manager, and a principled public figure. Particular attention was paid to his contribution to the training of civil service personnel and the development of legal science in the country.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the staff of the Institute of Parliamentarism expressed their deep gratitude to their leader and wished him strong health, well-being, and new professional achievements.
