On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the staff of the Institute of Parliamentarism, together with the deputy head of the State Institution "Management of Material and Technical Support" of the UDP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alinur Bulatuly, congratulated on the anniversary and expressed gratitude to Kurmanbek Shokhanbayuly, a home front worker of the Great Patriotic War.
On May 5, home front worker Kurmanbek Shokhanbayuly turned 95 years old. He was born in 1930 in the village of Shili, Torgai region. Kurmanbek Shokhanbayuly was the eleventh child in a large family with 13 children. Unfortunately, most of his siblings passed away at an early age.
From an early age, Kurmanbek took part in the labor front. Since the age of 10, he has been working in the rear, making every possible contribution to the common cause of Victory. Like many children of that generation, he happened to grow up early. With men moving to the frontline, women, the elderly, and teenagers have borne the brunt of daily life. Kurmanbek worked on an equal basis with adults: on a cart pulled by oxen, he delivered hides, wool and other agricultural products to the district center, many kilometers from his native village. At the age of 21, he created a family with his wife Kulzhan, together they raised 13 children. Before retiring , he worked as a cashier at a post office.
As a sign of respect and gratitude for his selfless work during the war, for a life filled with hard work, responsibility and concern for the future generation, the veteran was given food baskets and financial assistance.
Kurmanbek Shokhanbayuly retains his cheerful spirit and active lifestyle. Special joy is brought to him not only by attention to his merits, but also by sincere human communication.
