FOURTH MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP ON PARLIAMENTARY REFORM TO BE HELD IN ASTANA

On January 9, 2026, the next meeting of the Working Group on Parliamentary Reform will be held in Astana under the chairmanship of the State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Erlan Karin.

The agenda is expected to include a discussion of a number of topical issues, including the name and powers of the future unicameral Parliament.

It should be recalled that previous meetings addressed qualification requirements for deputies, the procedure for their election, quota-related issues, as well as key aspects of the legislative function of the future unicameral Parliament.
