How can the effectiveness of crime prevention be enhanced in Kazakhstan, and what role does scientific and expert analysis play in this process? These issues were discussed at a regular meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Institute of Parliamentarism.

On 5 November 2026, the Council reviewed the educational manual “Crime Prevention in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, prepared jointly by staff members of the Institute’s Centre for the Judicial System and Law Enforcement Agencies and other co-authors.

The discussion focused on the relevance of the manual, its academic and methodological value, practical applications, and prospects for improving crime prevention mechanisms.

The participants also addressed the development of the Institute’s research activities, ways to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing studies, and the expansion of scientific and expert work in key areas of legislative improvement.

The meeting provided a platform for professional exchange of views and discussion of research initiatives aimed at advancing Kazakhstan’s legal system.
