November 26, 2021, the Director of the Institute of Parliamentarianism M. Makhambetov made a presentation at the round table on the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic: "Problem issues of veterinary well-being and the development of training for veterinary medicine."

The purpose of the event was the improvement of the current legislation in the field of agriculture, as well as the adoption of optimal practical steps at the state level to address existing problematic issues in the agro-industrial complex of the republic.

The round table was held on the base of the Situational Center of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University under the chairmanship of Espolov T.I. - the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board - Rector of the NJSC "Kazakh National Agrarian Research University".

The event was organized under the leadership of Z. Balieva - the Vice-Rector for Strategy, Infrastructure Development, Digitalization and Legal Affairs of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, with the support of the relevant committees of the Chambers of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of Parliamentarism.

The round table was attended by deputies of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leading scientists of the country in the field of agriculture.

The round table participants discussed a wide range of problematic issues, including:

- problems of prevention and control of severely hazardous diseases of farm animals;

- legislative bases of veterinary safety and proposals for their improvement;

- the effectiveness of carrying out control, supervisory and preventive measures in the field of veterinary medicine;

- personnel problems in the field of veterinary medicine;

- the effectiveness of scientific research in the field of veterinary medicine.

As part of his report, M. Makhambetov emphasized that the Institute of Parliamentarism acts as a research structure that systematically identifies problem areas in legislation, including in the field of agriculture, and offers the most relevant and effective legislative measures for harmonious and effective development of public relations.
