Information about the Institute

In 2020, at the instruction of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Institute of Parliamentarism was established as a state enterprise under the Material and Technical Support Office of the Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Institute’s primary mission is to assist in improving the quality of legislation and to promote effective lawmaking. The Institute provides scientific and expert support to Members of Parliament in exercising their right of legislative initiative—from justifying the need for amendments to current legislation, to drafting bills, assessing their implications, and developing alternative policy solutions....

The mission

of the Institute of Parliamentarism is to develop parliamentarism by strengthening the representative and legislative role of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

34 bills In 2023, the Institute of Parliamentarism developed 34 bills.
767 proposals Working groups on draft laws prepared and submitted 767 proposals for discussion.
22 draft laws In 2024, there are plans to develop 22 draft laws.
